Hello Friends, it’s been a while! I’ll level with you, I haven’t been absent because I didn’t want to write recipes- it’s been crazy busy for the past two months with the cookbook, school, and work. Let me tell you that within these two months, cooking for healthy eating was not my priority – but I was intrigued; excited even, when I found a new toy to play with in the kitchen. The product is called “Bakesplit” – it’s a silicone baking sheet divider. Simple and cool, right? Once you use it, you’ll wonder why you never thought of something like this before (especially if you use the oven to prepare meals more often than not, like me).

If you’re like me and you’re cooking for two completely different culinary palettes, or you want to cook everything all at once with “no muss, no fuss”, and the least amount of mess possible, this is something you have to try! I’ll explain once I give you a quick glance at what it is.
Take a look:
Everyone knows I generally only eat chicken and turkey for protein (sometimes bacon, yum), and my husband (yup, I got married) likes beef. So, if I was making him a beef patty in the oven, I’d have to wait until it was done to bake my chicken (hello, tiny oven!). Bakesplit is a new product on kickstarter that’s changing the way we bake! It functions as a separation apparatus for baking sheets that keeps the juices of meat or veggies away from another section, so you can make the most out of having your oven on! It’s never been easier to make an entire meal with veggie sides and main courses all at once. Seriously, a lifesaver when you have a million other things to do. Also note that every dish is a “One Dish” meal – all you have to wash it the one baking sheet or tray that you use.
Another perk, making two flavors of sheet cake at once. Any bakers out there who love making stacked cakes with different flavors (Chocolate, Vanilla, Chocolate), this is a cool way to do it in one go!
As mentioned above, you can use it for baking two different types of cake – one for gluten-free, one that’s regular!
