I hear whispers in the air. The hopeful whispers of Autumn, creeping in on the heels of Summer. And while Autumn is one of my favorite seasons, I’ll admit, I’m a little sick of the PSL trend. Don’t get me wrong, the pumpkin spice latte was intriguing the first few times around – but it’s time for a new Fall drink. And guess what, I’m using one of Torani’s 100+ flavors to re-vamp the Autumnal drink scene. This upcoming Fall season, I’m getting fancy – cocktail style. These Spiced Chai Tea White Russian Cocktails are fabulously flavored with all your favorite Fall spices with an adult “kick”. Of course, you can’t replace PSLs with a cocktail, so you’ll also find the option for a non-alcohol version (you know, for the morning time).
The thing I love about Torani syrups is how easy it is to make special drinks with a simple addition of a few tablespoons. You’ll probably have everything you need for this drink in your pantry/bar cart already.
My favorite part of making this cocktail is drizzling the white cream in slowly and watching it swirl into the darkness of the Kahlua and syrup. Of course, I’d dubbed it a “White Russian” for a reason. Based on the classic 1949 drink, Black Russians were the combination of coffee liqueur and vodka. The addition of cream is what gave the cocktail the prefix of “white” and overtook the original cocktail in popularity.
The lovely part is that this syrup is not a “one and done” situation. You can make more than just this one cocktail/mocktail. This syrup pairs beautifully with a regular cup of coffee and cream, and can be used as extra flavoring in all your Fall baking adventures (try it in pumpkin pie, I guarantee you won’t be sorry). Is chai spice not really your “cup of tea”? (LOL) Don’t worry, Torani has over a hundred different flavors to choose from, and a slew of recipe ideas for you to try.
