In that picture to the left is Michael; the love-of-my-life, partner in crime, bottomless idea bank, and my biggest motivation to start R&M Cooks. We love to eat together, and create together. I’d like to think that my cultural background has a lot to do with the way I cook. I grew up with foods that set my taste buds on fire and unlikely flavours that teamed up to be the best partners! In a time when buying a frozen pizza is much cheaper and faster, I’m trying to stay excited in the kitchen by exploring new recipes that can turn a chore into a hobby. I am inspired by my mother and her admirable attempts throughout my childhood to make food that was flavourful and reminiscent of our Asian roots, and also by my fiancé’s classically Southern taste buds.
